"You are not registered" is displayed even after registration
Registration at Teyo will be handled in 2 steps. After you have entered your e-mail address and set a password, you will receive a confirmation e-mail from us with a confirmation link. You have to click the link to complete the registration. If you have not received this e-mail, it is most likely to have ended up in the spam folder. In this case, please check your spam or junk folder and mark the e-mail as "no spam / junk". If you can not find the e-mail in the spam folder, please contact our support.
How can I create favorites?
To mark a profile as a favorite, use the heart symbol , which you can find on the profile details page. A filled icon means that this profile is marked as a favorite. A heart icon with outline means that this profile has not been marked as favorite. You can view and manage your favorites list on the dedicated page (heart symbol in the menu bar at the bottom of the screen).
What do the individual search settings mean?
In order to be able to search those profiles which interest you, you can define various values in the search settings (filter symbol ).
Under "Gender" you can specify whether you are looking for a woman or a man as a dance partner, or whether you want to make no restriction here ("All").
Under "Age" you can specify what the lower and upper age limit of the profiles should be that you want to have displayed. By the way: The minimum age for Teyo is 14, and users under the age of 18 can only communicate with other people who do not have more than 2 years of age difference.
Under "Dance Styles" you can specify whether you want profiles to be displayed regardless of the preferred dance styles ("All"), or whether you want to display only those profiles that have at least one of your preferred dance styles in the profile.
Under "Photo" you can define whether "all profiles" should be displayed, or only those who have at least one photo on their profile ("only with photo").
What does the paper airplane icon mean?
The symbol basically stands for "Send message". On the profile details page, in the search results on the main page and in the favorites list, the icon says that you have already sent a message to the user or vice versa. In the chat window to the right of the message entry field, the icon turns blue and serves as a submit button for the message you entered.
What is the verification by SMS good for?
The verification function by SMS is good for making your profile more authentic. Teyo offers this feature to increase the quality of the profiles and to prevent possible misuse of the platform. Verified profiles are more trustworthy and are contacted more frequently than unverified profiles. Verification is free.
How can I block a user?
If you want to prevent a user from sending you messages, you can do so in the chat window with the hand symbol on the top right. A white bordered icon means that the user can send you messages. An orange filled icon means that you have blocked the user.
How can I copy a message in the chat window?
If you want to copy a message in the chat, you can double tap on the message (double click). This will copy the message content to the clipboard.
I'm not receiving any notifications (push messages). What can I do?
If you do not receive push messages, it can be due to several things.
First make sure that you have allowed messages for Teyo. On iOS you can do this in the settings under Messages -> Teyo ("Allow messages" must be turned on). On Android, you can also do this in the settings menu under Messages (the switch for "Teyo" must be turned on).
If this does not help, you can try to delete the Teyo app from your device and then reinstall it. Do not worry, your data will remain in your Teyo account. However, you must log in again after installation with your e-mail address and your chosen password (or alternatively with Facebook).
